@carolewalkercw You dodged the question at 08:40 about the proportion of properties that are 2nd homes/AirBNBs. What is it? Because I suspect the real problem is the Government's lack of action on affordable housing, & releasing all 2nd homes would make no difference to prices.
@BBCPM What absolute tosh from your supposed expert on air-source heat pumps. Just to point up one glaring error (lots more): Vaud in Switzerland has banned installation of the very electric heating he's advocating because it's so inefficient *not* air source heat pumps.
@BBCr4today If you *had* done yr research on ULEZ you'd know that the charge applies typically to petrol cars more than 17 years old or diesel more than 7 years old. For petrol that means a *really* old car. Don't just scaremonger because you're too lazy to research.
@BBCr4today Another poorly researched spot by Today on ULEZ. No mention of the type of cars likely to be subject to a ULEZ charge. If you're poor won't you be driving a small car that is exempt? It doesn't have to be electric!!
@BBCr4today I don't understand why you let your interviewees re mortgages get away with saying "Talk to your lender, ...extend the period of the loan." If the majority of the repayment is interest what do you expect the lender to say? The only option is to sell.
@BBCMoreOrLess It's incorrect to say that mortgages in the 70s were based on 2x income. The standard permitted borrowing was 3x principal income + 2x secondary income. I borrowed 3x my then income of £6300 pa and then lived on next to nothing for a year.
@TimesRadio One of the worst passport delays I've experienced was a month ago going through British passport control at Paris Gare du Nord returning to the UK. The passport officer's IT didn't seem to be working. 10 minutes for the person in front of me.
@TimesRadio I came through French passport control at Perpignan airport and Brits were being checked through in about 15-30 seconds each including stamping passports, so it can be done quickly.
@BBCRadio4 News at One today: Apparently a "cachet" of arms has been found in relation to Imran Kahn. Must try spraying a bit of that around me. :-D I think you might have meant a *cache* of arms?
@Channel4News In the light of the Gary Lineker row, how come no-one except The Guardian is talking about the disgraceful 10 minute rant by Nadine Dorries on The Today Programme against Sue Grey with virtually no challenge? No sign of impartiality there.
@BBCWorldatOne How biased is the BBC in giving Nadine Doris around 8 mins of free rein to vent her venom about Sue Gray? Have you now become a Government mouthpiece? You never give people that much time to talk! Except for Nadine Doris.
@elonmusk Yes you should stand down. Like me you clearly have Asperger's & we're not good at managing social interactions. We are too quickly aggrieved. Recognise your huge strength & vision in technology. Focus on that as you have in the past. Best.
@FergusOSullivan The ExpressVPN router you reviewed on https://t.co/uIHo0WV5rb seems grossly overpriced. It looks identical to a GL.iNet Flint (but with different software) available on Amazon for under $90 at present: https://t.co/BGIzNao9r4. I've got one and it is fantastic.
@r4Today Why on earth don't your challenge the Government on the expression "Capping the *average* energy bill to £2,500"?? You can't cap an average! Not only that, it creates total confusion among people when their bills turns out to be much higher.
@StoryglassPod The reason you cut on a bias could be (at least) twofold: each slice is bigger so easier to manage in the pan; and aesthetically, a long slice looks better than a series of little roundels. Your should go back and look at your GCSE maths!
