Day 7: #sirolimus is a preeminent drug in missions to reverse aging as mTOR shown to regulate longevity. Anti-cancer properties are deployed via #temsirolimus; the prodrug of sirolimus is given i.v to halt cell division in renal cell carcinoma & refractory mantle cell lymphoma

7 days of #rapamycin AKA #sirolimus starting today

Day 6: Multiple ‘severe’ DDIs for #sirolimus. Many drugs increase concentration e.g clarithromycin, itraconazole & many decrease concentration e.g rifampicin, St John’s Wort. Avoid live vaccines. (NOT exhaustive)

Day 7. The unknown risk of excreted drug in sperm means advice is to avoid unprotected sex & also sexual contact in pregnancy. Blood donation is avoided 1 month after stopping for topical (unlicensed use) or oral #finasteride, as drug could affect male fetal development

Day 6: No drug-drug interactions are listed in the BNF for #finasteride. There is a theoretical impact from CYP450 inducers/inhibitors but no known clinical effects arise from such interactions
