5. Startups and same pay worldwide. This is something big tech cannot compete with, but startups can pull off. Companies like @RevenueCat pay the same, worldwide, from SF to Madrid. So few companies do this that this 10-50xes applications.

While EU companies are pondering if €80K/year for a senior engineer is too much or not, more (US) VC-funded ones are starting to offer €120K ($140-150K) and up *plus* equity for seniors in Europe.
