1/4🌳2 months ago, we made history in #Badagry—a coastal town in Lagos. Project OSISI organized a pilot tree-planting festival that impacted 4,000 students across 8 community schools in Badagry. We planted 100+ native trees leveraging @SilviProtocol

In just 2 hours we filled more than 10 big bags with plastics, styrofoam, clothes, and other waste. It’s one of Medellín’s main cycling paths, yet it’s treated like a landfill. 🚲💔

Still, the energy was beautiful, hands, smiles, and care everywhere. 💚

ReFi Lagos @ReFiLagos01 completed several impactful initiatives. The community developed the REGEN Card Game, an innovative interactive educational tool created by AfriLearn to make climate education engaging and accessible. The Climate Ambassador Program entered its second cohort following successful completion of Cohort 1. The community also organized tree-planting events including the Badagry Tree Planting Festival and Project Omole at Omole Grammar School in Ikeja, raising climate change awareness through direct environmental action.

Project Omole: Hosted a climate change awareness and tree planting event at Omole Grammar School, Ikeja Lagos, empowering over 700 students.

Tree Planting Festival at Tayville Academy, Akure, Ondo State: A 2-day climate change awareness and tree planting festival was coordinated in Ondo State, impacting Tayville Academy students and concluding with a tree-planting demonstration.

Researching and Developing Project OSISI: Project OSISI, a tree-planting platform, enables impact donors to sponsor climate change awareness and tree planting events.
