Not to be judgemental on main, but if you cant afford to vaccinate a litter of puppies and suddenly theyre all sick with something, maybe Parvo; get your dog spayed. There are low cost spay/neuter events. Instead, a rescue is paying for treatment. Unbelievable.

@Lumidoom They were definitely in over their head. I don't know their circumstance, but I know people do that stupid "I just want one litter so I can have a mini-me of my dogs; she so wants to be a mother" and humanize them. It's so weird. So many people do this.

@Lumidoom Oh, no I get ya. I refuse to pay and just do - in hope people know I'm just gonna' keep going LOL. I'm a big support of ethical and well bred breeding (even looking at a breeder in NC for champion lineage Belgian Sheepdogs) and HAAAATE the "oh no they got pregnant" appointments.

@Lumidoom -am glad the pets are at least getting the care they need. It's an expensive and careless lesson these people learned (hopefully). I have an old classmate that hasn't spayed her girl and has had TWO litters so far of "accidents" and I want to say something so bad.

@Lumidoom Yeaaah in this case I do think it was sort of planned, but in a way this is their first time and they were hoping for deposits to kick in to get the shots rolling. Both are pitbulls. Of which, I do think people should live with the financial consequences but also-

@Lumidoom -with my dogs' breeder when one of the boys she didn't plan with one of her girls in heat jumped 10 feet to get her when she wasn't looking; she has since fixed that). But I do agree to spay/neuter (spay more than neuter if someone had to choose) for unplanned litters.

@Lumidoom -for show dogs to continue their lineage for excellent representatives of their breed. Unplanned litters can happen this way if people are not careful, but majority of show dog participants are very careful. So "accidents" do indeed happen (it happened-

@Lumidoom Yeah it definitely angers me. These puppies are very sick and we thought it was parvo, because they havent received a vaccination cause the owner was "saving up" for it. In 100% certain it was an accidental litter. She has an intact male and female :/
