@Eleven__11XI Seriously. In the movie when he almost dies on the island of the Laestrygonians I kept thinking that everything would go better for everyone else if Odysseus just didn’t save him.
@Ren_Chandler4 Both of his films last year were great. And I loved the one before that. I just feel like they’re too small to get the attention they deserve.
@IMAO_ Especially since it wasn’t widely known that Damon was even in the movie. I remember sitting in the theater opening night and the audience audibly gasping when the pod opened and Damon’s face was revealed.
@IMAO_ I think part of the reason Damon’s villain worked so well is BECAUSE it was Matt Damon. With the exceptions of The Talented Mr. Ripley and The Departed he really hadn’t played villains. So it came as a shock in Interstellar.
@helveticagothic I would go see it again. And I actually saw it twice. Once in the Dolby during the Fan Event (which was packed) and then again in a regular theater. (Where I was alone.)
@arafat_atreides He’s a critic who has good opinions on indie stuff but not so much on anything more mainstream. And that’s ok. I’m the type of person who likes both types of films and therefore recognizes that the need to consult different critics for different genres.
@NewJohnPACity Honestly I think he had a great performance if only because I despised his character despite liking every other role I’ve ever seen him in. It says a lot about the performance if it makes me dislike a character played by an actor I really like.
@jmlp1218@himbopotamuss Same. And I have another week until the 5 heads in my hydroponic units reach the point where I can start to harvest the outer leaves.
