Yesterday Thursday May 6 we enjoyed our diamond wedding anniversary. All began with a big surprise. Our two daughters Beverly and Sheryl arrived and set up a wonderful luncheon for us and other members of our family.

Zealand, amateur radio operator Frank Bell sent a ground breaking Morse code transmission, that was received and replied to by London-based amateur operator Cecil Goyder in 1924. Frank and his sister Brenda were both radio Hams.

My most regular dx contact mainly on 20metres since the 1960s has been Charlie K6HTM in Chico California USA. Because of very poor band conditions our contacts for far too long have been few and far between. Charlie told me by email recently that he is still listening on 20metres
