Evil never gives peace. It causes frenzy first then leaves bitterness. Instead, God’s voice never promises cheap, easily acquired joy. He invites us to go beyond our ego to find that true good: peace.
Again, the Office brings us the great Augustine, 5c. Bishop: “Men are hopeless creatures, and the less they concentrate on their own sins, the more interested they become in the sins of others. They seek to criticize, not to correct”. Cancel culture rages , but without a compass.
The birth of #JohnTheBaptist to elderly parents teaches us that God does not rely on our reasoning and limited human abilities. We must learn to trust, to be silent before the mystery of God, and to contemplate His works in humility and silence.
"If God sends you many sufferings, it is a sign that He has great plans for you and certainly wants to make you a saint."
- St. Ignatius Loyola

Thank you for covering the mental health/suicide conference in Memphis. Awareness is so important! Those of us who have experienced this prefer to say died by suicide and tried to take their life, not the C word. @KellyRobNews@WMCActionNews5@GovBillLee@afspnational
MPD has recently received numerous complaints about illegal dirt bikes & ATVs traveling on city streets. Doing so is dangerous for the rider and others who are attempting to travel our roadways. If you see this illegal activity, call the police and provide info; 901-545-COPS.
The Son. The Word that connects. In Able he was slain, in Isaac bound, in Jacob exiled, in Joseph sold, in Moses exposed to die. He was sacrificed in the Passover lamb, persecuted in David, dishonored in the profits (2nd century Bishop, Saint Melito). He thirsts for us. AMDG
