Agree with this. As someone who attends both prem rugby and football. The difference is I take my pre match pint to my seat at rugby and have to down my pint under the stand at football. Need enforcement if you get cases of people chucking it but a few banning orders will sort.
The PM's comments that drinking alcohol in sight of the pitch should be allowed have been headline news today.
We support the PM’s position and it’s actually a more nuanced discussion than X sometimes allows but - deep breath! - we'll give it a go.

@WheresTommyV When are we going to cover the important issues such as where the Real Ale bar has gone from the Gardens and replaced by an automated can vending machine!!!!
Well done to the planning officers at the Council and Forest’s professional team. I say this as a professional planner and nearly forty years as a Forest fan. I know how much work has gone into the scheme. Do not underestimate how technically difficult this would have been.
@adamsummerton You do a great job on the Champions League and Serie A. Was saying the other day how good it was to have a commentator who knew who the Napoli players were in a game v English side. Love Serie A for the stories outside the game and its competitiveness
As someone who produced a Forest fanzine back in the 1990s, I'm looking forward to reading this new book - brand new out this week. Just had a flip through & appears folk interviewed for it include a certain Mr Andy Lowe, a man who also produced an #NFFC fanzine back in the 90s!
Forest have every right to be frustrated at VAR Peter Bankes’ intervention and the review of Neco Williams’ goal-line effort against Spurs. It wasn’t a clear and obvious mistake by ref Craig Pawson. PL match centre declared that “VAR checked the referee's call of goal to Nottingham Forest and determined that Williams handled the ball immediately before scoring and recommended that the goal was disallowed”. Yet even after repeated viewings it’s hard to tell whether it was handball or not. So not a clear and obvious error. Goal should have stood.
ProRef, the artists formally known as PGMOL, promised at the start of the season that VAR would be more light touch, more in keeping with the original intention of intervening only when a clear and obvious error. Largely, so far this season, officials have kept to that “minimal interference, maximum benefit” mantra. Consistency of application was always the concern - as highlighted at the City Ground. #NFOTOT
Have really enjoyed the one day cup this year. Good cricket and affordable for families. Particularly for those of us living 50 plus miles from test venues. Hope the finalists stick with the players who got them there for the final.
@rugbyontnt Saints season ticket holder for 22 years. We do not sell out of season tickets because of Henry but due to the team as a whole. He is a great player but in my opinion is being badly advised here. We cannot pay that kind of money without compromising the team.
@BBCNews What the article does not say is you pay an entrance fee which explains the lack of smaller artists and so someone “snubbed” might have not paid to enter. Explains why bands with principles such as @sleafordmods may have never been nominated!!
@saddler_andy T20 is not the problem it is the hundred. Counties such as Northants are the lifeblood of the game. If you kill it off where are the next Ben Ducketts coming from.
