These 10am day 2 restarts @WSOP after playing day 1 from 10am-12:30am the day before are pretty brutal. This was how it was back in the day, they made the schedule better, now it feels like we went backwards.
In case WSOP will take any consideration to change this, so far I’ve been asking all my table mates and it’s been pretty unanimous that people find it a pretty rough experience.
Here is what the experience is like during these large field events.
Finish at 12:30am, parking garage is jammed up spent 12:35-12:55am trying to get out of the garage. Last year they seemed to have all the parking gates up during big events, this helped a lot rather than each car 1 by 1 inserting their parking ticket to get out.
Get home by about 1:20am, 45 minutes to get ready for bed and try to wind down.
On average most people take about 30 minutes to fall asleep once in bed, but a lot of people will take an hour especially after a long day of play.
Sleep from 3am-9am. If you have fairly efficient sleep you’ll get 6 hours, if not you’ll get 5.
Wake up and shower and pretty much have to leave right away. Not much time for breakfast. I made the mistake of making coffee for 5 minutes and spending another 10 minutes exercising so I don’t mess up my back.
Got to the horseshoe at 9:50am. Spent 20 minutes in traffic jam at garage with all players having to one by one push button receive parking ticket to open gate. Got to my seat by 10:15am blinding out.
Honestly I think most players wouldn’t mind if you just made the structure a level faster If it meant we get an extra hour in-between day 1 and day 2 restart. Or if you at least negotiated with the property to open the parking garage gates that would probably get people an extra 30 minutes of time back as well.
If you agree please share your opinion with a cite below & like / retweet to bring some awareness to @WSOP@JackEffel of how many others also feel this way.
How do you like 9.5 hours between day 1 ending and day 2 starting for large field WSOP events?
So I just got on this plane with my daughter, and found out our seats weren’t next to each other. I really ain’t wanna inconvenience anyone by asking them to swap seats, but before I could say anything this kind older gentleman offered his seat to Kensli so we could sit together. We both said thank you and as he stands up, I realize it’s THE Martin Short!! So cool and Kensli freaked out cause she’s obsessed with The Santa Clause 3. What an awesome person!
