Dame Joanna Lumley leads calls to close 'shocking' UK animal testing laboratory @Daily_Express
“It is utterly shocking that we continue to subject defenceless puppies to unimaginable pain in the animal testing industry
This betrayal is even more gut-wrenching because it’s beagles who are chosen - precisely because they are gentle, friendly, affectionate and trusting."
Well said @ciwf beloved Patron #JoannaLumley

Laughing at @UKLabour who are still flip flopping around with new hunting legislation. Time to grow a spine and deal with these evil bastards once and for all.
They’ve been openly fox hunting. They simply don’t care because they know they won’t be held accountable. Well it's time to hold them accountable for the crimes they are committing against wildlife, against people & against simple decency in the UK: https://t.co/gV6owKxh94
🔒 Iris spent her life on a chain
✂️ We’ve had 2 hard months fixing up some complications and surgeries.
🏝️ Today she got to taste freedom at the beach
This is what life is all about ❤️
So Southern Water’s toxic plastic beads have now made it all the way across the English Channel.
Can someone explain to me, exactly what the hell does a water company have to do to loose their operating licence?
Eric has volunteered for Cancer Response Team (@Nonprofit4Kids) for 8+ years, bringing joy & smiles to our Children fighting cancer. He has the biggest ❤️ & is a true Hero in our #ChildhoodCancer community. 🦸

My daughter, Charlotte, was just 19 when she died from a brain tumour on 24th February 2016 nearly 10 years ago. In that time:
Nothing has changed with the standard NHS chemotherapy Temozolomide licensed back in 1999.
Nothing has changed in the standard six-week course of radiotherapy.
But one thing has changed:
Charlotte’s BAG has raised £335,000 directly funding research at Charlotte’s Lab, King’s College Hospital, London where they are:
“Advancing the development and validation of rapid DNA sequencing and real-time data analysis using Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT). In collaboration with ONT and colleagues at the University of Nottingham, we have made substantial progress in the first phase of our validation programme. This initiative aims to replace our current methods of methylation classification and MGMT promoter testing with a faster, more efficient workflow. By doing so, we expect to significantly shorten the time patients must wait for these important results, supporting quicker clinical decision-making and improved patient care.”

The big difference with our charity is simple: we self-fund everything.
No salaries
No overheads
No advertising No merchandise
We even cover PayPal & PO Box fees ourselves
Meaning that 100% of every donation goes directly to research
Charlotte was brave, kind, and wise beyond her years. She shared her journey openly on her YouTube channel with her last video being filmed on 4th February 2016 the day before she went into a coma. Her channel has since received over 25 million views around the world. Her legacy lives on through this work. YouTube Charlotte Eades

Animal Welfare Heroes
Today’s animal hero is @NiallHarbison. Niall feeds, rescues and rehomes thousands of dogs in Thailand every year.
Thank you for caring Niall 🙏.
The only way to wear fur, Hetty giving me a much needed groom. Learning from Hetty, Charlie and Rosie about fox behaviour has been my greatest privilege in life. I'll never stop fighting their cause.
Pharmaceutical companies don't see a good profit when it comes to developing drugs for #ChildhoodCancer bc the market is too small. We should be outraged & demand better for our precious Children. If you agree, #Repost & Fight for justice for those who do not have a Voice. 🎗️
"When we lose a loved one, it doesn't end the relationship - it just teaches us how to carry them in our heart instead of our arms. "
The death of someone we cherish doesn't sever the bond we shared; it transforms it. While the physical presence is gone, the love, memories, and lessons learned remain, woven into the fabric of our being.
We may no longer hold them in our arms, but their essence lives on within our hearts, a constant source of comfort, inspiration, and enduring connection.
The ache of loss is a testament to the depth of love we felt, and carrying them in our hearts is a beautiful, enduring tribute to the life they lived and the love they gave. ❤☀
