Horror of horrors and in complete panic. As The Legal Owner I have opened a 10 Day Window letter. I don't like the sound of it! I have apparently been given a 10 day window to get correctly licenced [\tv] “Without a TV licence you may be breaking the law” (well I didn't know that!!) “You only have until the 5th of August to act before this window closes.” [what am us to do!] “If you do not get in touch your case will be escalated to the Enforcement Team [ Enforcement Team? I do not like the sound that !!) who will schedule a visit to find out why there is no record of a TV licence at this address.” ( and how are they going to do that?) Do you remember those TV ads in the 70s showing a TV detector van with a big antenna on the roof, Then the announcer's voice came on. “#24 is watching Kojak”. Those vans were completely empty of any electronic detection gubbins. BTW, did you know that on the World Cup TV broadcasts, apparently, a little information square, “pay your TV licence”, was flagged up on the TV screen, and it worked! ( I didn't know this was so, as I do not watch the Telle). People thought the BBC knew they were watching the BBC. Tens of thousands panicked and paid the licence🤣😇🤔

Take a look at these Defensive US B1 bombers loading up at RAF Fairford. Question: Is there such a thing as a defensive bomber? Question: Is the UK at war with Iran? == Answer: No, there is no such thing as a “defensive bomber.” The B-1B Lancer is a long-range strategic bomber designed to deliver large quantities of conventional (or previously nuclear) ordnance against targets. That is an offensive capability by definition. Military aircraft categories distinguish roles clearly: fighters and interceptors can be defensive; surface-to-air missiles and air defenses are defensive; bombers exist to strike. Calling a B-1 “defensive” is political and legal framing, not a technical description of the aircraft or what it does when it drops bombs or launches https://t.co/8rKxnYahYn this specific case, the UK Ministry of Defence and successive statements from Keir Starmer’s government (and later reporting) authorized US use of RAF Fairford (and Diego Garcia) for “specific and limited defensive operations” / “specific defensive purposes.” The stated goal was to destroy or degrade Iranian missile launchers, sites, and related capabilities “at source” to stop Iran firing missiles into the region, threatening shipping, or endangering British/allied personnel and interests. That is the official justification for allowing the bombers to operate from British soil. The missions themselves remain bombing runs.
