Aqueduct… I’ll keep this one short.
Thank you for giving me my start. From saddling my first horse ever with Artie to winning my first start as a trainer. You’ll always be the place where my career truly began, where I learned lessons that no textbook could ever teach. There were incredible highs, humbling lows, and countless miles that shaped me into the person I am today. That being said… I won’t miss the freezing days and cancelled races as soon we get off the shuttle, the Belt Parkway, or the car crash that’s likely getting me a new hip. Every chapter leaves its mark. Some leave memories, some leave scars, and some leave both. Thank you, Aqueduct.

GONE WEST and Robbie Davis had the Aqueduct water tower as backdrop when winning the 1987 Gotham (G2) at the #BigA. The time for the mile was a solid 1:34.3.

Trained by Woody Stephens, it was GONE WEST's first stakes win. He added 2 more graded stakes, proved an excellent sire.
