What is it?

VA vs VV ECMO?

Veno-venous (VV) and veno-arterial (VA).

VV: lung injury/respiratory failure but sufficient cardiac function (respiratory support but not circulatory).

VA: cardiac/cardiopulmonary failure (circulatory and respiratory support).
