Todo mundo fala da primeira noite de Rosh Hashaná.

Mas eu gosto de pensar na segunda noite.

Porque começar é emocionante.
Continuar é uma escolha.

Na primeira noite, celebramos a chegada de um novo ano.
Na segunda, talvez a pergunta seja outra:

O que vamos fazer com ele?

Rosh Hashaná não é apenas virar uma página do calendário. É olhar para dentro, rever caminhos, reconhecer o que precisa mudar e decidir quem queremos ser quando a novidade do “novo” já tiver passado.

Na segunda noite, existe o costume de colocar à mesa um pri chadash — um fruto novo, que ainda não comemos naquela estação.

Ao recitarmos o Shehecheyanu, agradecemos a D’us por termos chegado até este momento. E o fruto novo diante de nós acrescenta algo muito concreto à bênção:

a possibilidade de experimentar algo novo.

Talvez essa seja uma das mensagens mais bonitas da segunda noite.

Porque na primeira noite, tudo já é novo.

É um novo ano.
Um novo ciclo.
Um novo começo.

Mas, na segunda, somos convidados a encontrar o novo outra vez.

E isso diz muito sobre a vida judaica.

Não basta se renovar uma vez.
Não basta fazer promessas quando o ano começa.
Não basta sentir esperança quando tudo ainda parece uma página em branco.

É preciso continuar procurando aquilo que pode nascer em nós.

Uma nova escolha.
Uma nova forma de olhar.
Uma nova oportunidade de reparar.
Uma nova razão para agradecer.

Talvez por isso o pri chadash seja tão bonito.

Seguramos algo novo nas mãos para lembrar que, mesmo depois do primeiro começo, ainda existe a possibilidade de começar de novo.

Nesta segunda noite de Rosh Hashaná, que possamos agradecer não apenas pelo ano que chegou, mas por termos chegado até ele.

E que nunca nos falte a capacidade de encontrar algo novo — no mundo, nas pessoas e, principalmente, dentro de nós.

Shehecheyanu, v’kiyimanu, v’higiyanu lazman hazeh.

Que nos deu vida, nos sustentou e nos permitiu chegar a este momento.
