@TrentonLuera14 This is a great story. I think it's important to understand that not all situations are created equal. It's why I always make it a point to set up visits for kids when coaches visit. Time is valuable, and I want our kids to be ready. You never know when they moment happens.
@Devoted2DET Between the University of Michigan and all of the professional teams, we will see 2 Championships in the state of Michigan for the 2026-2027 sports season!
@texpatriot79@RGIII I use the term "kids" for these student athletes. And yes, they are kids. I don't need to go into the Why, it's self explanatory IMO
@TysonCromwell@RGIII Do you think North Texas benefitted from the Transfer Portal/NIL?
When coaches left in the past, why wasn't there a mass exodus to other schools?
NIL/The portal is not the issue. It's merely gasoline..........
@TysonCromwell@RGIII Those two schools are drastically different, but I understand your point. What are your thoughts on this..........
Were you aware Iowa State does not offer Baseball, Tennis, Swimming & Diving, and Gymnastics for Men? These were not cut because of NIL/Transfer portal
@TysonCromwell@RGIII I don't believe it's messing the sport up at all. There are teams winning now that have NEVER seen the success they are seeing now. Should it be cleaned up, yes, but it's not messing it up, IMO. The problem is deeper than people want to admit or talk about
@esidery Funding is other sports was already an issue, that's why not every school is the same. Ot even every HS is the same. I think we should talk about how all of a sudden billions of dollars are available, but wasn't before NIL?
@daniel_jackett@uscfan981 I understand that. Being from Michigan, we've been all over the mitten for Corey's in my lifetime. They are all good in my opinion, but that's the Homer in me. And you've got to get a side of chili fries
@DailyUofM98 Wheatley was the man until Mike Hart came along, and then Blake Corum set the bar. Gotta give a nod to Chris Perry, Biakabatucka, and the A-Train as well.
@VinnysCorner1 Athlete...........Ben Wallace. He built his body and his HOF career. There is no slight to the other HOF guys. They were all more "talented" than Ben Wallce. He gets the nod
