@scottdrewburns I coded my Remote for Tesla app to only communicate directly with Tesla's servers for many reasons including speed and security. Other 3rd party apps also don't have permission to update their apps while mine still can be updated. See version history.

@TroyTeslike @wholemars Tesla has been playing catch up to the Remote for Tesla app for years now. I added Touch/FaceID first, then Tesla adds it years later. I added an Apple Watch app in 2015, and Tesla has yet to add it. I added Siri/Shortcuts/Automation support first, and there's no word from Tesla.

@sc101_101 @wholemars That's been a possibility for a few years now. The Remote for Tesla app adds Siri/Shortcut capability to the Apple Watch along with an Apple Watch app, so you can speak to the watch to summon your vehicle as well as do any of the other commands available on the app.
