In 2020, peaceful protesters in Nigeria were massacred by security forces at the Lekki Toll Bridge.
In 2023, peaceful Congolese protesters have also been massacred.
In 2019, Congolese people waited for the Supreme Court to disqualify Tshisekedi, who submitted a false university diploma, or at the very least, requested recounts.
In 2023, Nigerian people with #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary are waiting for justice to be served against the man who also lied about having a diploma from Chicago State University and rigged the election.
Our struggles are shared, and so must be our fight for justice.
As Congolese citizens, we find ourselves in a challenging situation. Our own government is responsible for violence against us. We can no longer rely on the East African Community, which merely observes our suffering. The so-called rebel groups not only harm us but also exploit our mineral resources. Additionally, foreign governments appear to accept the current situation, supporting a regime that perpetuates violence and even proposing negotiations with rebels and terrorists who continue to harm us.
In this political landscape, Congolese citizens have no choice but to depend on one another as we bravely strive for survival, democracy, peace, and justice.
Solidarity among people, is the only way.
Dear fellow Africans, especially those from Nigeria, thank you for sharing my tweets.
This massacre may look all too familiar to you because our struggles are shared. In 2020, you were in our shoes with #EndSARS, and now you find yourselves in ours.
May democracy and justice prevail in our respective countries. 🇳🇬🇨🇩#AllEyeOnTheJudiciary
@mariceljammal@officialABAT@KashimSM We are not expecting anything Good to come out of your country Columbia....and you have showcased once again that Columbia is one of the worst countries on the surface of the earth that is why you refer to this as flawless transition
@meks2850 Exactly. And the story of Nigeria and it’s gross mismanagement of crude oil and it’s affairs are bare for everyone to see. Trying to use regression as a scare tactic is wild tbh….. 😫😩
