That story ESPN just aired on Chris Fowler finding those tapes his dad recorded before he died- was awesome.
“When you have your health, you have a thousand worries. When it goes bad, you have one, and all those other worries don’t matter,” his dad said.
So true.
G'day: The preliminary numbers are in and America showed out. 🇺🇸
The @USMNT’s 2-0 victory over Australia delivered 14,781,000 viewers on FOX, ranking as the best Friday afternoon telecast on any broadcast network since 2022. 🏆⚽️📺
Chicago and Washington are “deserving” World Cup cities.
Stadiums there?
Hell no.
Dragging and lost.
Next time!
SF was in the mix thanks to streamers and global objectives.
Americans saying the World Cup should have been in SEC stadiums miss the point.
The NFL wanted this display as it comes for the globe.
It’s all NFL International just like LA28.
The NFL is the number 1 league in the world.
Club owners are making moves.
Enjoy the future 💪🏾
Finally, America has a men's team to be excited about and it's happening on soil.
Great timing!
USA vs Australia was fun.
If the Rams and 49ers were playing in Australia at the same time, most Americans would be "checking on" the soccer match and watching LAR-SF.
Reality.
World Cup enthusiasm is great and fun, but forcing the story is a bit over the top.
Crowds at on location studio sets are essentially College Gameday like and in stadium fans singing John Denver is basically like NFL International games.
Perhaps pure soccer crowds are unaware.
People are funny.
Guy A: I don't get why football crowds don't make noise the entire game.
Guy B: Because football crowds understand when their team is on offense it's time to STFU so they communicate better.
Guy C: I like seeing personnel groupings and formations.
Guy A: Oh.
Great seeing World Cup visitors react to the impressive quality of NFL stadiums.
There is a reason other countries are saying they want NFL quality stadiums to qualify for hosting NFL games and positioning for an international division.
The NFL is the best league in the world.
More than 40 years ago, I arrived in Chicago in search of an idea. I was a young man looking for purpose, who believed deeply in America, was inspired by the Civil Rights Movement, and wanted to be a part of something larger. The America I believed in was one where everyone has opportunity, everyone is seen, everyone belongs—because that was an America that had a place for me, too.
These political types stumping at the Knicks parade sound ridiculous talking about how NY overcomes with their backs against the wall.
People, it took 53 years.
It's a basketball championship.
Cincinnati's knowledge of Brendan Sorsby's gambling stems from an alert the school received in Aug. 2024, showing Sorsby attempted to access fantasy site PrizePicks, according to court documents.
The school questioned Sorsby after the alert and was told that he was denied access to PrizePicks and had not placed any wagers. UC says it did not receive any additional alerts related to Sorsby during his two seasons.
