Wait… let me get this straight, we all know the man is a top lyricist, we all know he has the ABILITY to battle whoever, we all know he is top 3 and not 3 BUT all of that is disregarded because he doesn’t want to participate in a rap beef?? I just wanna make sure I understand….
I love that J.Cole addressed the Kendrick diss and shared that it was bothering him. To do that in front of thousands of people was brave, especially in Hip Hop where being hard all the time is the standard. #DreamvilleFest
My timeline is full of people not understanding what Cole did. Grown men sometimes get passionate and say things. And sometimes you get it wrong. And if you're a REAL one -- you apologize when you do. Cole's energy didn't feel right on that song and he knew it. He's a good man.
What J Cole did might not be good for hip hop but it’s most definitely good for the black community. Our culture DESPERATELY needs to see black men apologizing and showing maturity.
It’s harder to “embarrass” yourself to the world to protect your own peace than it is to fake beef for public validation and acceptance…
Real human move.
Hip hop is entertainment, yes, but pleasing millions of fans vs pleasing yourself at the cost of your own peace?
Choose wisely.
Likeeeeeee let’s get into it!

The beautiful thing about mustard seeds is the fact, they’re the tiniest seeds in the world. But they grow to become large plants. God is so intentional!
