Neuro Rehab Practice Ltd Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation Practice - Clinic and Home Neurorehab in and around Richmond-upon-Thames: Director-Richard Sealy
Really pleased to welcome Miriam to Parliament to attend my debate on World Stroke Day 2025. Her experience shows what can be achieved with good stroke rehabilitation, and her own inspiring determination.
@LibDems@munirawilson Thanks for highlighting the importance of rehabilitation. As a neuro physio running practice in Richmond, we receive regular calls desperate for neurorehab. Guidelines are to only see those deemed most urgent. We are successfully using TeleHealth #RightToRehab@munirawilson
@Chairmanphysio1 I would counter that this is a professional decision @Chairmanphysio1 which requires professional body clarification and guidance @thecsp#physiotalk We risk a wave of unsupported patients with significant needs crushing our already over stretched resources
@HorizonPhys@thecsp yes the young people with Cerebral palsy that I see will clearly deteriorate if they are left for months without physio input. They may need surgery as a result. Does that put them in the urgent rehab needs? #physiotalk
@physiotalk More rehab 🙏 long term the neuro population will really suffer (and I assume COVID/ICUAW and myopathies?) Early discharge + limited rehab + isolation .. I worry for my patients #physiotalk
@suehaywardgiles@Chairmanphysio1@thecsp@PhysioFirstC Thanks Sue, I absolutely agree, which is why we’ve been risk assessing each client and have stopped all non-urgent F2F and set up Tele-Rehab. It’s working to highlight this importance to all AHP’s too #physiotalk
@HorizonPhys@KarenHo01208036@thecsp I agree - we are receiving requests from clients leaving hospitals to go home, but without input there could be potential for readmission or at least definite deterioration in functional ability, thereby putting more pressure on the NHS. #physiotalk
@physiotalk Richard Sealy - The Rehab Practice London. Redeveloping a neuro team to provide TeleRehab, whilst maintaining employed staff (as no grant for Ltd company). How to meet the needs of our clients and maintain their own functional ability without physical contact. #physiotalk

A fantastic 2 days of education /stimulating discussion #QSUL2019.Thank you to @dr_nickward@franbrander, Kate Kelly and the team getting this work out there. We have to take and shape this to our own rehab environments underpinned by the brilliant work from @JonesFio
“Risky behaviour is good” just giving it a go, reflecting, giving it another go.... builds confidence and self efficacy... which means people are more likely to give things a go outside of therapy.... @JonesFio making a whole lot of sense! #QSUL2019
Incorporating rehab exercises into daily routine can be boring for #strokesurvivors but don't worry, we've got you! The NeuroBall makes rehab exercises fun! Have you had a play yet?
There's still time to RSVP and come to our launch party, click the link!

The #NeuroBall is a unique and amazing rehab device. Our clients are now using their arms at home between sessions and have shown more confidence with now trying functional activities #StrokeRehab
