@jowrotethis@MalloryRubin I love hearing that you got the support you needed. I will add that I'm not terribly surprised because I generally feel the care that your co-hosts have for you. I'm also not surprised because I sense how you have earned their love and respect (and ours).
May you stay healthy!
@Bakari_Sellers Conservatives simultaneously hold two contradictory (and wrong) thoughts in their brain: 1) the election of Obama proved that racism in the US was over, and 2) there was no racism in the US until Obama was elected and black people started discriminating against white people.
@floramcg7@gkfahnbulleh@docrocktex26@rick00979@Fly_Sistah In 2008 and 2012, the "I don't have a racist bone in my body" crowd could "prove it" by voting for Obama. There is no equivalent group of "if you call me a misogynist, that's like calling me a [insert epithet here]." They're proud to side with men against women.
@jgmac1106 Ford replaced Spiro Agnew in '73. He would not replace Nixon until August, 1974, when Nixon resigned, an event that had nothing to do with the 25th Amendment.
@sjs856@deray The replies to that tweet blame Obama for making this country racist, which is weird since the Supreme Court ruled that Obama *ended* racism in Shelby County.
@PDN_Gallagher@docrocktex26 It's the parable of the scorpion and the alligator. We've been warning the alligator that scorpion would sting them, and they get stung, they'll look at us and say, "You wanted this to happen! You were rooting for the scorpion the whole time."
@TheCinesthetic Being near flowing lava, as if lava were just tepid water that would kill you if you touched it. Never mind the heat that's worse than an oven, or the toxic gases that would kill you in one breath.
@yashar Supporters of Scott point to his Medicare fraud as proof that he knows how to milk the federal government for money while not passing it on to the people who really need it.
