a lease is a legal document that has legal ramifications if not complied with on BOTH sides. stop trying to make landlords look like the scum of the earth. go out and buy a house if you're sick and tired of "paying someone's mortgage," renting is a scam anyway
under this logic, the mutual relationship between a tenant and landlord is solely based off the tenant's employment income, thus once this income dries up and the tenant can no longer pay, the landlord has 0 obligation to provide housing
I don't get it. rental income is very simple and straightforward in terms of investment risk: you get a substantive cut of someone's employment income, so if their employment is hit, your investment is hit. yet here we have all these landlords with the shocked pikachu face
