Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu,
It is with a lot of sadness that, on the behalf of all Ugandans, Maama Janet and myself, I extend our most heart-felt condolences to the Royal Family of Tooro and to all Ugandans on account of the death of the prominent Muzzukulu, His Highness Oyo, the King of Tooro at such a young age of 34. How unfair life can be!! He was orphaned while still young and he has died young.
In the short life on earth, he had shown that he had potential of working well with the Central and Local Governments to develop Tooro. What a loss to Tooro and Uganda.
Some months back, Her Royal Highness Kemigisa, Nyinomukama, came to tell me that the Muzzukulu Oyo had cancer that was very aggressive. The Government supported them to go to Germany and, then, the USA where he died.
Our issue is not with Parliament itself but with certain politicians and MPs who seek to boost their popularity by unfairly attacking our Chairman, Gen. @mkainerugaba, as part of their self-serving agendas. If they do not stop attacking Afande, we will march to their constituencies. Today We held a peaceful protest, no property was damaged, and no one was injured. We followed the proper procedures and obtained police clearance. This was the most peaceful demonstration ever held in Uganda.
A heartfelt thank you to all PLU supporters who participated, the PLU secretariat for its guidance, and SG @DaudiKabanda for leading the team. We also appreciate @PoliceUg for providing the necessary instructions.
Our rules are simple:
1.Gen. K. Muhoozi is always right.
2.If you think Gen. Muhoozi is wrong, please refer to rule number one.
Embracing patriotism, and taking leadership initiative we young people can create our own opportunities, contribute to national development, and build sustainable future.Grateful to @KagutaMuseveni for laying a great foundation for us .
I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to PLU supporters who came yesterday in big numbers to stand with our Chairman Gen @mkainerugaba. Thank you for complying with the rules.
