@Oklahoma_Brave The Americans who came early were the ones who didn’t fit into general European society. Crossing an ocean to a foreign land takes a certain mindset. The ones who came later did not have it.
Americans stopped being European a long time ago.
Why do I say this. Well, the Comanche could spot the difference on sight as early as the 18th Century.
Historians talk about the selective way the Comanche would attack some wagon trains following the Oregon trail and leave others. They claim it's because the Comanche waged war differently to Whites.
Bullshit. They were just picking their targets.
The Americans could fight.
The newly-arrived Europeans normally had little or no firearms, little or no training if they had them, and no familiarity with the land.
They were prey.
We raided into Mexico too, because the Mexicans were better than the newly-arrived Europeans, but not as good as the Americans.
The Comanche--and take this as a MAJOR compliment--wanted peaceful relations with the Americans not for any altruistic reason, or because we were peaceful (hah!) but because we recognized a serious foe when we saw one.
We only started the raids into Texas after the Texans started to encroach on Comancheria, our imperial lands. It was the only time we were forced into attacking.
All the other times we didn't hesitate.
Had all of the United States been composed of Europeans as we understood them to be, we would have forgotten the Mexicans, who were not exactly overburdened with wealth, and attacked the United States full force.
Nothing personal, you were just the most valuable slaves, were smart and beautiful, and were frequently adopted into the nation. Our greatest Chief, Quanah Parker, was half White.
If we'd hit you before you got better rifles and the Colt Walker... we would have won.
But by then you were Americans, and there was no stopping you. Our goal had to become the far more pragmatic aim of survival.
@Oklahoma_Brave Its hard not to laugh when people assume all the natives were cool with eachother till the white man got here. My direct ancestor was an interpreter in the US Army was good friends with Tonkawa fighting the Comanche. Remained friends with many natives & even took a choctaw wife
No one is safe in India 🇮🇳🇮🇳 not even the tourists ..
A Japanese woman came to celebrate Holi with Indians but they exploited her n tried to rape her ...
Shameless Disrespectful Bast***s ....
More indians die of diarrhea per day (1266) than the total amount of Americans who have died in school shootings in the entire history of our country (457).
