@rosquartz2 @javelin03727307 @Rob_E_Dresser Black on black slavery still abounds in Africa today, as it has done for centuries. Perhaps BLM rent-a-mob should decamp there and see how police deal with those who riot!
Attach a plaque that also explained his history of slave ownership
Surely history is about understanding that there are at least two sides to every story
Also a philanthropist he did not break the law, thankfully slavery was abolished and laws to protect equality are now in place
Finally, we hear from our prime minister. Underwhelming to say the least!
This weekend was a test of his mettle. He needs to step up to the plate and deliver the leadership the British people expect by putting an end to this nonsense!
It's a statue reminder lesson of how to avoid slavery!
Otherwise we become slaves to eradicating our own history.
We paid to eradicate slavery in our taxes. I'm proud my
taxes eradicated slavery. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
What is worse -police cravenly bending a knee when they are on duty or being seen to run away from thugs.? Then a publicly funded @bbcnews not reporting Churchill statue and Cenotaph vandalism A sad day for our country
Slavery is as old as humanity, but Britain led the way in abolishing it. We bought the freedom of every slave in the Empire, and each of us happily paid for it with our taxes until 2015 - why is this side of the story always ignored?!
