@retro_anime Just remembered, they had Robin Shou (from Mortal Kombat) as Goku, and I think Leonardo DiCaprio as Trunks. (This was only a very few years after Titanic came out).
@retro_anime I wish I still had it, but I had a magazine from back then doing the same thing for DragonBallZ. The only parts I remember were Jackie Chan as Master Roshi, Jet Li as Vegeta, and Stone Cold Steve Austen as Nappa. They had others I just can’t for the life of me remember.
@SitcomPeople Shocked my mother and grandfather last year when I proved I could sing the entire opening (and most of the closing) theme from memory. This, “Green Acres”, “Three’s Company”… and born in 1990!
@FrankConniff Is that why there’s old news footage of you and Trace standing by a flag in front of a roaring fire holding the severed heads of your enemies? I’d always wondered about that.
@anime_shots@retro_anime I’d say Pokémon, but with the sheer amount of localization when it was first brought here, the series that I saw as Anime that got me into it would have been “Tenchi Muyo”. The series that made me start buying manga was “Rurouni Kenshin”.
