Ngizwe Mchunu has responded to Zulu Nation Prime Minister Thulasizwe Buthelezi after Buthelezi criticised the izinsizwa involved in marches against illegal immigration.
Mchunu accused Buthelezi of playing cheap politics, saying the Prime Minister has lost touch with the realities on the ground and is no longer relevant to the people he claims to lead.
According to Mchunu, there was a time when Buthelezi held influence and authority, but he has since lost control and can no longer dictate to the people.
Mchunu further argued that traditional leaders and political figures should acknowledge that ordinary people are increasingly taking matters into their own hands and are no longer waiting for instructions from established structures.
