When a train accident took his limbs, a 25 year old Rapido driver lost his livelihood overnight.

He lay there bleeding for hours, asking for help. People watched. People recorded. No one stepped forward.

This is a kind of silence that cuts deeper than any wound. The silence that tells you your life is not urgent enough.

And yet, today, he is still choosing to fight.

Because every morning, he sees his 55 year old father, recovering from heart surgery, step out again as a Zomato delivery partner just to support him. That resolve is what keeps him going.

He is now trying to raise funds for bionic arms so he can begin again with dignity. To work again. To regain a sense of independence most of us take for granted.

The date was December 23, 1912. Delhi's Chandni Chowk area. 

British Viceroy Lord Hardinge was leading a royal procession on an elephant. Just then, a beautiful woman standing in the crowd waved her hand. No one suspected anything, but death lurked beneath the pallu of her sari.

She was not a woman, but 17-year-old boy, revolutionary freedom fighter Basant Kumar Vishwas.

At the behest of his mentor, Rasbihari Bose, he had disguised himself as a woman to breach the security cordon. Basant threw the bomb with perfect precision. The explosion was powerful, injuring the Viceroy, but he survived. Amidst the ensuing stampede, 'that girl' (Basant) quietly disappeared and returned to Bengal.

His father passed away some time later. While he was busy performing his father's funeral rites, the police arrested him.

He was subjected to unbearable torture behind prison bars. He was kept naked in the bitter cold, starved, but not a single name of his fellow freedom fighters came out of this 19-year-old's mouth. The British officers were astonished that at an age when boys play on the ground, this boy was playing with death.

The final scene before the gallows when he said, "I will come again."

His execution was scheduled for May 11, 1915, in Ambala Jail. Basant Kumar Vishwas was only 20 years old at the time. He became one of India's youngest martyrs.

It is said that as he was led to the gallows, there was not a trace of fear on his face. Rather, his face bore a smile like that of a groom leading his wedding procession.

He told the executioner, "Don't be afraid, brother, do your job. I will merge with this soil so that the plant of India's freedom may grow stronger."

When the noose was placed around his neck, he loudly shouted "Vande Mataram."

His voice echoed through the high prison walls, reverberating all the way outside.

A revolutionary brave man like Basant Kumar Vishwas not only threw a bomb, but also sacrificed his identity, his youth, and his life
for the freedom of India.

The girl who was thrown into the garbage bin at birth went on become captain of the Australian Cricket Team.

In Pune, Maharashtra, there is an orphanage called the ' Shrivtsa Anathalaya'. On August 13, 1979, a girl was born in an obscure corner of the city. Her parents threw her into a garbage bin outside the orphanage as soon as she was born. The orphanage manager named the adorable little girl 'Laila'.

At that time, an American couple named Haren and Sue were visiting India. Their family already had a daughter; their purpose of coming to India was to adopt a son. They came to this orphanage in search of a handsome boy. They couldn't find one, but Sue's eyes fell on Laila and fell in love with her bright brown eyes and innocent face.

After legal proceedings, the girl was adopted. Sue changed her name from Laila to 'Liz'. They moved back to the United States, but after a few years, they settled permanently in Sydney.

A father taught his daughter to play cricket, starting in the park at home and ending with playing with a boy in the street. Her passion for cricket was immense, she also completed her studies. She found a good opportunity, and moved on. First, she spoke, then her bat spoke, and then her records.
