“Queer' not as being about who you're having sex with (that can be a dimension of it); but 'queer' as being about the self that is at odds with everything around it and that has to invent and create and find a place to speak and to thrive and to live.”

RULES to being a writer:
1) Hoard notebooks to write in
2) Do not write in your notebook hoard
3) Buy 183736 books similar to your story
4) Do not read these books. Instead, read something completely unrelated to your story
5) When you say you're "writing", go on Twitter instead

What I got: sunburn, and a million pages of scribble that I now get to painstakingly type up.
I'm writing in a new genre and am desperate for book recommendations!!
Give me everything gothic and/or horror, particularly if it's feminist, queer, or written by marginalised authors ❤️
