@barnes_law The reason super powers obey international law is because otherwise the super super powers will do mean things to them. I'm pretty sure this is how it has been working for thousands of years and it isn't going to stop now. Obviously what we need are super super super powers.
@uncle_deluge Grok and I have a simple explanation for the sudden collapse of copper mining and we can tell you where the huge amount of mined copper is: https://t.co/f6wY6d2Ols
Explanation for the sudden (economic) collapse of the Great Lakes Old Copper Culture. Over a period of many thousands of years they mined millions of pounds of copper but one day stopped so suddenly that they left their tools at the mines. The mines were reopened when America started needing industrial quantities of copper.

@AncientEpoch This is a porcelain transformer bushing that looked a lot nicer before it got broken, thrown away and spent a decade or two underwater. Google transformer bushing to see similar: https://t.co/2EBhQEiT5O
@squarecapo@WKCosmo Density matrices are Hermitian, their products no: (1+sigma_z)/2 (1+sigma_x)/2 (1+sigma_y)/2 (1+sigma_z)/2 is a product of 4 pure density matrices and is a complex multiple of the first and last (1+sigma_z)/2 = spin-up. This is a BP-phase: https://t.co/07SkFn3JUE
When I was a kid ('65) we didn't tap out, we said the magic word "uncle" believe it or not. I was a smaller kid, with glasses as thick as coke bottle bottoms and excellent grades, perhaps a bit of a teacher's pet. But I didn't attract much bully attention because I repeatedly beat the absolute snot out of a larger kid. My secret was that shorter means stronger and I had fast reflexes and excellent balance. Short arms so I didn't box, instead went for grappling. When the guy kept starting fights with me despite saying uncle I decided to ignore it and kept him in a leg lock long after he'd given up. He spent a few days in a hospital but I didn't get in trouble because I was the little teacher's pet, LOL. When he came back to school he asked me to be my friend and of course I said sure but in fact he never again willingly got within 3 feet of me and I suspect that I avoided fighting the rest of my boyhood because this big guy told my cohort that I was a dangerous psychopath. This removed the attraction of starting fights with me. And the advice dad gave was "never ramp up." What? He meant hit them as hard as you can right from the start.
@FoMaHun If you don't like the color you can buy concrete powder tint. These work in high alkalinity situations such as pine ash (I make limestone from slaked lime). And they are cheaply available on eBay in single color or varieties.
@takaogrape1 My buddy and I bought an ethanol plant in Moses Lake, WA. It had been built to process the waste potatoes from the local fields which were being fed to cattle (who don't digest them well). Their source dried up when "tater tots" were invented and so the plant closed.
@FTKL@EdLatimore I figure I'm one of the few people who knows why you're supposed to remove the cardboard from underneath a frozen pizza before heating it, and I'm guessing that the reason is similar to why you're supposed to remove the pizza from the box before reheating.
@cctv_videos I'm not going to buy myself an AI companion until they have an Orc version. When I spring a leak, she mends me. I don't have to speak, she defends me.
@patio11 Apparently I have a deal with ChatGPT where we pretend that neither of us hallucinate and just gloss over minor corrections with a "nice catch!"
@MultipolarPod I think Trump is secretly planning to block trade with Iran in order to cause mass starvation. This has worked many times before particularly for the US, which is a naval and agricultural superpower. More often than most people think. I.e. where are the buffalo?
@emuaarubeeque Sorry to say that the vinyl system I played music on in the 1970s sounds better than the music I listen to on my computer. Considerably better. If I get tired of it I'll hook up the 300 CD changer I bought and start listening to old CDs. But computer is so convenient.
@WKCosmo I think the feedback is there just to allow students to blow off steam. Of course we don't tell them that. I told my students "please don't put anything on your feedback that would require that the FBI get involved."
@Johnny119934 Don't do this. Flour is very dangerous when it's in the air. If there had been a source of ignition in the bathroom it could have blown the roof off of the building. https://t.co/H6NKUJG8Xb
