This #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek we wanted to tell you a little more about a charity that is close to our hearts. 🧠🌈
The Sanjay Mortimer Foundation’s mission is to 'help those with neurodiverse minds recognise their strengths and talents through engineering and making'. It was set up to honour E3D’s co-founder Sanjay who had ADHD. Sanjay was always open about his condition and the challenges it brought, and was determined not to let it define him. He was a visionary with a brilliant mind and his capacity to think unconventionally drove much of the progress that E3D and the #3DPrinting industry has enjoyed. The charity wants to enable more young people to realise their strengths by giving them access to funding and mentorship.
To qualify for support, beneficiaries must meet the following criteria:
☑️ Aged 11 to 25 years.
☑️ Resident in England or Wales.
☑️ Are neurodivergent or are on a waiting list to be diagnosed.
☑️ Have a palpable interest in and gain a sense of enjoyment from engaging in engineering &/or making.
If you know someone who would benefit from the support of the charity then click below for details on how to apply 👇
