I made millions simply ‘writing’.

So many people found it unbelievable. Some thought there was something dubious underneath.

But think about it: how many things do you personally read per day.

A blog post, a social media caption, a news announcement, a WhatsApp story.

Why am I asking? There’s a connection there. In many cases, someone was paid to write many of those things you read.

In many cases. I was part of those people.

Introduce AI: The big bad wolf that’s coming for everyone’s lunch.

AI has made writing cheap, very cheap. But here’s the truth. I wasn’t just paid to ‘WRITE’.

I was paid to tell stories through words.
I was paid to answer problems through words.
I was paid to help businesses scale their revenue through words.

and that’s the real reason I was and remain paid.

Content marketing and writing isn’t about researching and drafting documents.

It’s about

understanding ‘what’ (the product or service)
understanding ‘why’ (why it matters)
understanding ‘who’ (who are the people that will pay for it)
understanding ‘how’ (taking all the lessons from above and using them to turn words from plain text into triggers that move them from strangers to loyalist)

Before you call yourself a professional content marketer and writer, ask first, can you do the above.

If yes, welcome to the fold. If not, the big bad wolf is going to take your lunch soon.

Good thing there’s hope at the end of the tunnel. You just have to ask ‘what should I do’?
