IMO, when you buy things in this way, the product connects you to a tradition and craftsperson. To me, this means more than signaling status, especially since Rimowa suitcases, Rolex watches, and Goyard wallets are pretty common nowadays, even among the middle-class.

That's fine, but the problem is what happens after. Players talk a LOT about how the NBA is about managing your emotional energy, it's why you can't get high or low after a win because the next game is so soon after.
It's great that Wemby wants to win so much but I've SEEEEEEEN this so many times where a team beats the squad they've had in their sights all year and are not prepared for the fact you have to KEEP GOING. The Finals are the apex, not the denoument.
