@ThePrimeagen The "it's like management" take is among the many terrible AI coding takes I keep hearing where it just seems so far from reality I don't even know how people get this idea...on paar with "using AI means you are just turning your brain off".
@rawkode@dillon_mulroy I am using LLMs to code, I don't write it manually obviously - that said, I read the code since that is where understanding of the system comes from + it rarely ships good solutions the first time. You basically know as much as your user when you are "coding" blind.
@rawkode@dillon_mulroy This was the funniest thing I read in a while, you realize that as CTO you were not concerned with any of the details because your employees were taking care of them, right? Surely, you didn't think everything was dependent on your "architecture and stability" lol
@AlfredBaudisch@moss_gamedev This sold because of a viral clip. Yes, it did get reposted by some bigger accounts because of his twitch audience which helped - but being good looking + wholesome family also helped, a crying middle aged nerd in his basement wouldn't have gone viral. It's just luck tbh...
@Jonathan_Blow@RhysSullivan I guess the productivity (my measurement of productivity is revenue increase) will be about 10-25% over the term of say a long project 6-12 months. Not 10x like people claim (though you can certainly 10x your output, you are just not going to be producing anything worthwhile).
@theo I'm worried about ox - it's free sure, but how is open router going to prevent them from creating a "free model", have it go viral and then suddenly replacing it with a malicious one?
@levelsio "Anyone can make anything"? What are you talking about? This is something that I never got about tech people (as a developer), software is not really that important but we pretend like it's the center of the universe- most problems I have are not related to software in any way.
