Three suspects, George Cloete, his wife, Charmaine Cloete, and his brother, Bino Cloete, briefly appeared on two counts of contravening the Prevention of Organised Crime Act and illicit trafficking of goods under the Diamond Act in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court today.

They were not asked to plead, and their case was postponed until 7 August for further police investigation.

Their court appearance follows their arrest on Monday in connection with diamonds stolen during the NAMDIA heist after police conducted raids on their homes.

During the raid, police seized assets, including four vehicles.
