@prettycan4 Glad it isn't just me, I like the idea of the all black but there's just not enough contrast and the court color makes it worse. very harsh. good idea, delivery is off
@WNBAUncut He's coming off very defensive instead of addressing the comments in a conducive and productive manner. Media training is important... doesn't matter if you're a player or a head coach.
@WNBAUncut There's A LOT that is wrong with his comments, body language, & professionalism. If I was the VP of Marketing & Comms I'd be having a conversation with him moving forward. You can be honest and professional at the same time.
@d22_dee@WNBAUncut The Sparks are notorious for drafting international players that have no intention of playing in the WNBA. Wasting draft picks every year (generally in the second round if they have a first round pick). They’ve been doing this for at least the last 15 years if not more.
@d22_dee@WNBAUncut I was referring to the franchise specifically, to start. But in regard to Roberts, she was hired by the Sparks to grow player development, and hasn’t.
Last year’s draft picks (Feagin & Parker) collected dust on the bench. Parker was selected by Portland and is thriving.
@d22_dee@WNBAUncut Some that directly come to mind, Marina Mabrey, Chennedy Carter, Jordin Canada, Ari McDonald. There’s more though. It’s been over a decade since the Sparks have had a good HC who can 1) develop young talent 2) weave in veteran talent to balance a roster.
@KyMaiescloset She doesn't understand how to coach anyone whose last gig wasn't high school. No understanding of the league, the play style, and hasn't learned anything after a complete season. It's not just Nneka's career that's being wasted... it's all that young talent on the bench too!
@ChristanWNBA As soon as they get a qualified coach, they will be perfectly fine and a contender with this roster. They just need someone who knows what they're doing in the WNBA.
@WNBAUncut Another part of the problem is that these college coaches are so used to working with young athletes that they have no idea how to coach experienced, professional athletes… Some of which have Olympic medals and national championships.
