I came in under Ford and was still in under Clinton, retired but still in government under Obama. There was a noticeable shift and weakening of forces, and a significant expansion of Government then. Where there was no real division or racism before, it became noticeable under Obama. He fostered it and it weakend every structure. I also remember after Obama was elected quite a few of my black coworkers openly stated that it was now, "our turn" and stuff went downhill from there. So, no, I would not have wanted to serve in the military back then either.
