Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley

Proudly serving the Massachusetts 7th. @FSCDems & @OversightDems Member. She/Her.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

IT'S OFFICIAL: The House has passed our extension of TPS for Haiti.

This win wouldn't be possible without the strength & organizing of our movement to defend our Haitian neighbors.

To those in the #MA7 & beyond, this is for you.

The Senate must pick this up without delay.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

This reversal by @USPS is a testament to public pressure & community solidarity.

I’m glad they're heeding our calls to keep the Fields Corner branch open & preserve this public good.

They must reopen the Allston branch next & stop gutting postal services across Massachusetts.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

This is outrageous.

Trump's DOJ is working proactively to sow doubt in our elections and laying the groundwork to deny elections that Republicans lose.

This is fascism, plain and simple, and we must call it out.

[The Washington Post @washingtonpost]

Breaking news: The Justice Department has moved to preemptively block certification of the results of Alaska’s Senate race if Republican incumbent Sen. Dan S. Sullivan loses his tight race against Democrat Mary Peltola next month. https://t.co/2lu3CsGgaE

Bishop John Borders’ legacy goes beyond the walls of the church.

He's been a faithful steward and spiritual father for me and so many. I'm grateful for his guidance, compassion, and refuge.

Congrats on 45 years of service, Bishop. You deserve all the rest and time with family.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

Trans rights are human rights.

This was the right call and will help protect essential healthcare for our trans siblings behind the wall.

We must continue to fight against the Trump Administration's relentless attacks on the LGBTQ+ community.

[The Boston Globe @BostonGlobe]

The Supreme Court refused to allow the Trump administration to immediately enforce new medical restrictions for transgender people in prison. https://t.co/LfsndFML7Z

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

It is shameful that in 2026, women with disabilities are paid 44 cents for every dollar paid to non-disabled fathers.

My Disabled Women’s Equal Pay Day Resolution with @RepLSimon & @RepEmilyRandall makes it clear:

We must put an end to this economic injustice & make sure everyone gets equal pay for equal work.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

Where is our humanity? How is this keeping anyone safe?

Trump and ICE are traumatizing our children, ripping apart families, and terrorizing our communities.

The cruelty is the point.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

This is unacceptable.

We can't let billionaires and tech companies like Mark Zuckerberg and Meta censor our movement and meddle in our democracy.

No corporation should have this level of power over free speech in this country.

[MeidasTouch @MeidasTouch]

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: No Kings organizer Ezra Levin is SOUNDING THE ALARM after Meta suspended the movement’s Instagram account during massive nationwide protests.

LEVIN: “This is strikingly reminiscent of what we saw in Brazil… We might be seeing something similar from Meta in our country right now.”

“We're not gonna stop organizing against this regime. We're not gonna stop organizing against this regime's collaborators on the outside.”

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

Decades of disinvestment & policy harm have disproportionately impacted the health of our Black & brown communities.

A drastic reimagining is needed to address these racial health inequities.

I joined @The_BMC EQTY Summit to discuss our fight for health equity in the #MA7 & beyond.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

.@RepMaxineWaters is a proven, effective leader who delivers for the people & empowers so many.

With America facing an economic crisis, our committee needs her strong leadership now more than ever.

Proud to join @TheBlackCaucus in supporting her as Chair of @USHouseFSC.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

This is just another step by Trump and the WWE Secretary to distract, harm borrowers, & shut down the Ed Dept entirely.

While millions default on their student loans, the Trump Admin. is doing NOTHING to fix the broken student loan system.

The cruelty is the point.

[The Washington Sun @washingtonsun]

The Education Department is planning to offload its student loans office, working rapidly to stand up a new independent agency that would take over what has long been a core part of the department’s mandate. https://t.co/3AJ912fAow

Black wealth has dropped by 25% while unemployment, cost of living, & gas prices have gone up.

When the rest of America catches a cold, Black folks catch pneumonia.

Trump's failed economic policy & harmful budget cuts are hurting our community & the harm is coming for everyone.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

Donald Trump & Sean Duffy are trying to rip away $20M in infrastructure funding for Roxbury.

That's why we're taking them to court.

Roxbury deserves transportation that works for the people who depend on it every day—and they've waited long enough for this investment.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

87,000 Allston-Brighton residents shouldn’t depend on just one post office for the services they need.

That’s unacceptable.

That’s why we’re calling on @USPS to keep their word to this community: reopen the Allston post office & restore daily service NOW.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

Donald Trump has always been obsessed with our elections.

He incited an insurrection after losing his election, has threatened states for their voter rolls, & refused to sign a historic housing package without a voter suppression bill.

This an anti-freedom, un-American agenda.

For 25 years, @POAHCommunities has done more than create affordable housing—they help people call a place home, raise families, & build community.

Amid Trump’s housing crisis, I’m grateful to POAH for ensuring access to housing in Massachusetts & affirming it as a human right.

[Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley @RepPressley]

Miscarriages, medical neglect, overcrowded cells—ICE detainees in Burlington are living through inhumane conditions.

Our request with @SenWarren is clear: @DHSOIG must thoroughly inspect & audit this detention facility.

There must be accountability for Trump & ICE's cruelty.

[The Boston Globe @BostonGlobe]

The full Massachusetts congressional delegation sent a formal request to the Department of Homeland Security asking for an inspection of ICE Boston’s field office in Burlington. https://t.co/1jW5kN8RUl

My heart breaks for the two small businesses in Somerville who've lost their stores through this fire, but I'm relieved no one was severely injured.

I'm grateful for the first responders and sending my support to the owners, workers, & firefighters who were hospitalized.

[WCVB-TV Boston @WCVB]

A 5-alarm fire destroyed two businesses on Broadway in Somerville.
Two firefighters were sent to the hospital due to an electrical shock, but they have been released.

DaMata Barbershop and Rei da Picanha are both a total loss.

The school shooting in Oregon is unconscionable & my heart is with everyone impacted.

No parent should ever have to bury their child & certainly not due to gun violence.

We must stop this cycle of violence & trauma, and end the public health crisis of gun violence in America.
