I’m looking for a long-term video editor who specializes in turning stream VODs into polished YouTube videos and creating clips/short-form content from streams.

Experience definitely matters, but I’m not necessarily looking for whoever has the longest résumé. I care just as much about finding someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and wants to grow with the channel long-term.

I don’t want an editor who simply works with whatever footage I hand them. I want someone who is involved in the creative process and willing to:
- Thoroughly scrub through sections of VODs to find the best moments and cuts
- Help research and ideate video concepts with me
- Suggest ways to improve videos before or during the edit
- Tell me when I should re-record a segment, capture additional gameplay, or restructure something
- Push back on my ideas when you genuinely think there’s a better approach
- Learn new editing styles, formats, games, or trends when necessary
- Think about what makes the best final video, not just what completes the assignment

I value someone who is hungry to improve and willing to go out of their way to make something better. X+ years of experience is great, but someone who actively researches, experiments, communicates and improves with me is much more valuable to me than someone experienced who only edits exactly what they’re given.

Reliability is also extremely important. I need someone who takes agreed deadlines seriously and communicates early if something is going to prevent them from meeting one.

The plan is to work on a monthly contract, with the workload, price, deadlines and deliverables agreed upon at the beginning of each month. For example, this could be around 1 YouTube video per week + 1 clip per day, although the exact amount is negotiable.
We would also agree beforehand on deductions for missed deadlines without reasonable notice or a valid reason. Nothing would be arbitrary, the pricing, deadlines and any potential deductions would all be discussed, negotiated and agreed upon before the month begins.

Ultimately, I’m looking for someone who wants this to become an actual creative partnership rather than just a series of one-off editing jobs.

I’m looking for someone who can help me create funny video compilations for Try Not To Laugh streams.

The main thing I care about is actual effort when finding the clips.

I’m not looking for someone to grab an already-made YouTube compilation and repurpose it. I want someone willing to actually search through TikTok, Instagram, X, and similar platforms, find individual videos, and put together a compilation specifically for my stream.

I already have a few previous Try Not To Laugh streams that you can use as reference to get a better idea of the type of stuff I find funny. I obviously don’t expect you to completely understand my sense of humor immediately, especially at the beginning. What matters most is that it’s clear proper effort was put into researching and selecting the clips.

This would be paid per video, not a monthly contract.
For the first video, I’m thinking of a payment structure like:
- We agree on the price, delivery date, and stream/reaction date beforehand
- I pay 50% once the completed compilation is delivered
- I react to it on stream on the agreed date
The remaining 50% is paid immediately after the reaction, provided the agreed work was completed and proper effort was clearly put into sourcing and building the compilation

We can discuss and agree on things like video length, number of clips, sourcing expectations, deadlines, and pricing before starting.

Ideally, I’m looking for someone who understands internet culture, enjoys finding funny or unusual content, and is willing to bring their own ideas instead of waiting for me to tell them exactly what to search for.

My YouTube premium subscription expired today and I IMMEDIATELY renewed it. Those 10 minutes I spent on YouTube without premium were hell! I've been using premium so long, the app was almost unrecognizable 😭 so many ads and so many disabled features I had grown used to 🫠
