@thehorsecharles If even something like Saiunkoku Monogatari can get marketed as romance, Kusuriya is a main romance plot series no matter how you look at it.
@thehorsecharles In comparison, Saiunkoku Monogatari which is a politics drama story the came out years before was marketed as romance although the romance is non existent for like %95 of the story, and the rest is it being unrequited love on top of that.
@dontbetaken1@LassaBeauty94 -instead of adapting the final arc of manga. It was the most successful and huge shoujo anime of it's time (like how big Fruits Basket 2019 was in West) so it was a weird decision to left it incomplete, but other than that it doesn't need a reboot.
@dontbetaken1@LassaBeauty94 Shugo Chara doesn't need a reboot because the anime is one of rare old long shoujo titles that is genuinely perfect since it accurately followed manga & created good fillers/it's own scenes. Everything about it is perfect except for how they made the third season a whole filler-
@khgbbovely I'd even say since peach pit knew it was going to be adapted, they specifically put effort to give it an anime pacing because that's how it felt like since first chapters
@khgbbovely I think the real problem is rather the unadapted chapters from the original manga, the road of stars arc and encore chapters. Those chapters are genuinely masterpiece and deserves a good adaptation. Plus the original story feels incomplete for anime right mow
I will avoid any social media for the sequel anime once it comes out because unfortunately Shugo Chara is one of the underrated well written shoujo which shoujo community has horrible double standards for and i don't want my experience ruined
Not the goat shoujo Shugo Chara catching strays right after it's comeback because Mappa is animating the sequel. And what's worse is i know it won't only be brounens that are pissed off but unfortunately modern shoujo fans too. I knew this would happen π€¦π»ββοΈ
@violetheart08 π₯² i know ive been constantly checking up info since 2023 since i am starving for Saiunkoku. I wish they'd pick up the anime for a continuation as well
An angel loses it's wings everytime someone calls Gekkakoku Kiiden "Kusuriya 2.0"
This is one of the best ongoing and new gen shoujo mangas so the adaptation is a huge win, we are finally returning to our roots PEAK SHOUJO ARE BACK
TV ANIME ADAPTATION for Tohru Himuka's Shoujo Medical Fantasy Manga "The Eccentric Doctor of the Moon Flower Kingdom" (Gekkakoku Kiiden)
