This visit between Trump and Mamdani is a perfect illustration of what I’ve tried to explain to people time and time again. People will react before thinking bigger picture.

Is Mamdani an awful socialist? Yes. That did not change today. He is still the same guy. What changed is he had to sit across from a president who will not let New York rot on his watch.

I wish more people understood this. Mission first does not care about feelings.

Mamdani needs Trump. His supporters will see that too, whether they want to admit it or not.

Illegal immigrant Siddharth Jawahar, 38, from India, just got 11 years in federal prison and was ordered to repay $31.35 million.

He ran a Texas firm called Swiftarc Capital. From 2016 to 2023 he took in more than $35 million from investors and put only about $10 million into real investments. The rest paid earlier investors and paid for private jets, luxury hotels, apartments in Austin and New York, private clubs, and fancy restaurants.

Among the victims: Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, plus NBA players including Gary Harris, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Mason Plumlee.

Judge Zachary Bluestone called the losses “enormous,” said the fraud lasted years, and echoed a victim who said Jawahar “weaponized” people’s trust. A major factor in the sentence: he still had not started paying victims back.

DOJ says he has been in the U.S. illegally since 2005. After he was charged he tried to coach a victim to lie to the FBI, lied about his immigration status and money, and asked his sister to wipe his iPhone. He is expected to be deported after prison.
They show he lived large on stolen investor money while here illegally, including money from a Super Bowl champion.

That is the pattern that never ends: stay here illegally, run a long fraud, hide the status, stall repayment. Kelce can absorb a hit. Ordinary investors cannot. Secure the border. Deport after the sentence. Stop the next one.

-Friday: Zelensky throws a fit and refuses to sign minerals deal at White House.

-Saturday/Sunday: Zelensky runs off to London to beg for money from Europe, they give him a minuscule amount of funds and tell him to go beg Trump for forgiveness.

-Monday: Trump says that if Zelensky does not come to the table ready for peace, then he will “not be around very long”. Hours later, Trump cuts off all weapons sales, aid, funding, stockpiles, etc., until Zelensky is committed to a ceasefire and peace deal.

-Today: Zelensky is ready to commit to a peace deal, first thing this morning.
