I like this joke:
"Rene Descartes walks into a bar and orders a drink. When he finishes his drink, the bartender asks him if he would like another. Descartes replies, “No, I think not,” and disappears in a puff of logic."
@ImmanuelKanty This may be true, but an experience can be doubted. The knowledge we gain can be faulty, and so to question the legitimacy of the experience is important. But knowledge can be gained by how the experience was interpreted.
No matter how open minded one may be, to have so much that you once held as fact be disproven is always so jarring. I'm glad we're understanding the world better, but jeez, do I feel dumb sometimes.
Oh what I would do to go back to the Netherlands. The peace and quite was great. I learned so much in Utrecht! Just don't want to get caught up in another controversy. Oh bien, peut-être bientôt.
I don't know about y'all, but I think this century is pretty hectic, therefore I am going to try and lay low. Don't need to get "roasted" or "trigger" someone. And who even comes up with these terms?
I don't know where these mathematicians decided to take my analytical geometry. I barely understand all this "linear algebra," "complex analysis," and "multivariate calculus," and I created the foundation to all these! What is this nonsense!?
@vesalius__ @Twitter Je l’apprécie, nous pouvons peut-être simplement parler en anglais. Je vois beaucoup de gens le savent maintenant. Je suis rouillé, mais je pense que je peux me débrouiller.
Here's to the 21st century. :)
@vesalius__ Exactement! Je me réveille après 368 ans de sommeil et je ne peux pas vérifier mon année de naissance! Aussi, je pensais que tu parlais flamand, pas français?
