Hello - I’m sad to share that my family’s home was hit by the Eaton Canyon fire.

My sister & I are devastated as we had to make the difficult decision to leave behind almost all of our possessions to evacuate safely with our pets.

@LaserSinger @banannerbread yes!! a lot of the homes had asbestos and lead that’s now mixed in with the ash - I wouldn’t want my colleagues to be exposed to those chemicals, they’re cancerous (I also worry about long-term exposure leaking into the soil…)

Most people don’t understand that most of those Altadena homes were passed down those black and brown families so NO it won’t just be easy to just get another home or to just rebuild. Some won’t even be able to afford rent out here. People need HELP
