14.3 (3) I am now more aware of my online persona, ensuring that posts are professional and respectful. I could make use of other tools (blogs, micro blogs, etc.) to share resources with educators, or to collaborate with those I work with. #GNED1411
14.3 (1) It was interesting to consider all of the different, original ways that companies use social media for viral marketing, campaigns, crowdfunding, etc. #GNED1411
14.3 (2) Three useful things I’ve learned in this course:
a) The importance of protecting privacy
b) Advancements and improvements made to social media
c) All of the different social media tools, their popularity, and how they are used #GNED1411
14.2 As I mentioned before, the use of videos on social media has become very popular, and will probably continue to grow in popularity. VR (virtual reality) may even be included in the way these platforms advertise or allow users to interact. #GNED1411
14.1 Since videos are viewed more often than static content, it is possible that we will see more videos and live streaming used on social media platforms as the years progress. #GNED1411
13.3 I cannot agree with one argument; people are different. Students who are capable of concentrating longer may flourish, but for some (possibly because of learning disabilities, a lack of interest, or visual overstimulation), it might only be a distraction #GNED1411
13.2 In childcare, there are applications that practitioners use on the centre's electronic device to communicate with parents (text and media). If there was a similar app that combined DC Connect and DC Mail, it would be significantly more convenient for students. #GNED1411
13.1 Many of my courses, such as this one, include social media. Through conversations with people online (common people, educational institutions, organizations, etc.), polls, and casual/purposeful browsing, I have obtained information for many research assignments. #GNED1411
12.3 Yes, I do think it can make a difference, but it shouldn't be relied on entirely to gain support. Certain subjects may become popular, and others might not receive the attention needed to make a difference. Efforts that were once fruitful may dwindle with time. #GNED1411

12.2 @UNICEF is an inspiring example. Followers are actuated by the organization's genuine interest in children's wellbeing and by the steps they take to make the world a better place for every child. #GNED1411
Wow. This #WorldChildrensDay, young voices rose up, cities shone blue and you proved that together, we are a powerful global movement for children's rights.
12.1 Social media is a very important tool for activists and advocates. Information on development causes can be spread worldwide simultaneously, and microphilanthropy efforts are supported on many sites. I have shared information and made donations to youth movements. #GNED1411
11.2 Formlabs launched a kickstarter campaign to introduce an affordable 3D printer to the market. The company was able to raise over 2.9 million dollars through crowdfunding, and developed one of the first 3D printers based on user investments. #GNED1411
11.1 I contribute to the participatory economy by liking, saving, commenting on, and sharing posts on social media sites. I
leave reviews on products I have purchased, and add products that I am interested in to a wish list, or Pinterest boards that others can browse #GNED1411
School is a place of hope, optimism and preparation for a better world. It is no place for armed violence and murder. #ENDViolence

10.3 According to an article, election mentions made by citizens increased by 90% since the previous election in 2015, making this the most tweeted Canadian election. More people can access social media instantaneously, and political candidates take advantage of that. #GNED1411
