NEWS: A senior Iranian official is warning that the U.S. risks serious consequences if it fails to honor the newly signed memorandum of understanding.

Ebrahim Azizi, head of Iran's parliamentary national security committee, said Washington's failure to uphold the agreement's first clause shows it "lacks the will to earn the trust of the Iranian people." He warned that if the situation continues, the U.S. will face a "smart and deterrent response" for violating its commitments, adding: "We remain steadfast."
