@basebender@JasonRed469467@EastEndJoe Franklin was an anti-vaxxer... until his four-year-old son Francis died of smallpox. Franklin apparently regretted not getting him vaxxed forever after.
History does repeat.
@Jox_in_a_Box Leaning back means the teacher/caregiver/parent/etc. doesn't have a mess to clean up. It's convenient for them.
Or they were themselves taught by someone who wanted that convenience. Either way, it was unfair to you. Sorry you had to put up with it.

@michaelharriot I don't think it's white culture per se, I think it's whine culture, where s/he who whines loudest, longest, earliest, most often gets paid off first to Just. Shut. Up.
Due to power dynamics, it works best for whites, so... thems do it most. Call it the Karen Protocol...
AARGH.
Pet peeve: 'Put a comma where you would take a breath.'
Uh... NO. Commas are there to show where phrases/clauses begin/end. You can breathe ANYWHERE (and most folks do. Oxygen GOOD.)
It's a structure thing. Like fences, but with typography.
@Stonekettle And here I thought T was the guy in the powered wig, given the gyrations of his hair.
Learn something new every day!
(Yes, it's a typo. I loved it anyway.)
@Stonekettle At a guess, tap dancing.
(Will there be a shepherd's crook coming out from behind a curtain to yank him out of view? Beware the convenient shepherd's crook!)
@Stonekettle Cuts...
Lemme guess. This type of fiscal conservative wants ALL college students stuffed into information silos.
Gosh. What could go wrong with *that*?
@shawnlenore At the risk of getting airy-fairy, I'd say the soul is in the art--AI or otherwise--but it's fractured in the case of the AI piece. A redraw by a human, tho'... might be the healing it needs.
@shawnlenore As for the AI bros who would cry, "VICTORY!" I say eff 'em. They'll say they won whatever you do, so do what makes you happy. It isn't like they'd consider what YOU'D do before they do their thing. Why should you give them that courtesy?
@shawnlenore Speaking as someone who enjoys your work, I'd say go for it. If it's legit to redraw someone's art in your style, it's legit to redraw AI art in your style.
FWIW, I've wondered what some AI pieces would look like, done right (by a human who can count fingers...)
