India’s cities are warming fastest after dark. In Delhi’s Super El Niño summer of 2026, 45°C days gave way to May nights among the hottest in a decade.
76% of the population faces high heat risk. In 2024, exposure erased 247 billion labour hours & $194 billion income. The crunch hits twice—sunset & 9–11 p.m.—when grids must hold.
Resilience now depends on power that lasts the night. My latest in @htTweets.

The future of clean energy will also be shaped by how we manage water.
Through initiatives such as robotic solar module cleaning, water recycling, rainwater harvesting and sustainable construction practices, #ReNew conserved 540,372 m³ of water in FY 2024–25. Two sites also achieved Water Neutrality certification.
Our next milestone: becoming Water Positive by 2030.

Wind moves 2% of the sun's energy across the planet. Silently. Every day. Without fail.
Since 2011, we've been learning how to harness that force, from our first site at Jasdan to India's largest wind portfolio at 4.7 GW.
This World Wind Day, 15 years of listening to the wind.

In this conversation with @nikunjdalmia, I analyse India’s energy transformation. This turning point—more significant than any before—is fragmenting the global energy order into “fuel-rich” and “fuel-deprived” nations, while setting India on course for massive renewable expansion.
This is not just a transition; it is a systemic reordering of India’s economic and climate future → https://t.co/Jotzh4Mszw

India is entering a defining decade for energy.
With $150–200 billion spent annually on fuel imports, reducing dependence is no longer just an economic priority, it’s a strategic imperative. At the same time, solar energy has emerged as the most cost-effective source of new power, transforming how the world and India thinks about energy.
As demand accelerates, driven by growth, AI, and data centres, the opportunity ahead is immense: scaling from ~500 GW by 2030 to a potential 3000 GW by 2047.
In this conversation, our founder, Mr. @sumant_sinha, shares his perspective on the global energy shift, India’s opportunity, and what it will take to lead the transition.
This is not just an energy story, it’s India’s growth story.
