“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” - Galatians 2:20
“Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,”
- Philippians 3:13
Nothing more important for a Christian to do than to read right through the whole Bible over and over and over, at the very least once a year. You have to keep checking and refining your beliefs by immersion in the Scripture.
“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” - Romans 8:28
“And He said to them, “Follow Me [as My disciples, accepting Me as your Master and Teacher and walking the same path of life that I walk], and I will make you fishers of men.””
- Matthew 4:19
“For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.” - Philippians 2:13
“For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems sad and painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, after it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness [right standing with God and a lifestyle& attitude that conforms to God’s will and purpose].”
- Hebrews 12:11
8 promises of God for today.
The Lord will:
1. Go before you (Dt 31:8).
2. Renew you (Is 40:31).
3. Fight for you (Ex 14:14).
4. Be with you (Josh 1:9).
5. Deliver you (Ps 34:17).
6. Counsel you (Ps 32:8).
7. Strengthen you (Is 41:10).
8. Guard you (Phil 4:7).
What I’ve learned is that what God doesn’t remove, He gives us the grace to carry. So, rest in His grace today, dear friend. His grace will absorb some of the sorrow and carry the burden with and even for you.
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!””
- Romans 8:14-15
Happy Father’s Day!! The great fathers I see today are a direct reflection of God’s heart to us as our Father❤️. The way God loves us, carries us, guides us, provides for us and protects us…we see glimpses through men who reflect fatherhood here on earth!
