People are waking up. Praying they #staywoke and finally understand the action behind that phrase. Stay woke to injustice and racism. Fight them wherever you meet them, in even their most micro form.
What do you call the feeling of seeing a global protest that boils down to people insisting that human lives, specifically yours and those who like you, don’t matter or deserve to exist. An opinion you’ve always been conscious of but now everyone wants to talk about CONSTANTLY.
It’s unusual (though valuable) to be asked to discuss, process and debate what I intrinsically understand to be true (that my life is valuable and others don’t agree) with those who are just waking up to the depth and breadth of the opposition to that truth and their complicity.

Let’s remember that without our farm workers in California and across the country, there would be no food on our tables to get us through this pandemic. I’m grateful for their work, not just today but every day.
